Foxes as Domestic Pets
Foxes are very similar to dogs and cats in a way. Foxes have the eyes and claws of a cat, but the build and most of the behavior of a dog. While they do have similar behavioral traits cats such as stalking and hunting, foxes have a hierarchy system. Even though dogs may be domesticated they still have a hierarchy system at home too, naturally humans are on top and because we can train dogs very easily. Foxes are able to be trained just as dogs. Video of people and their pet foxes show that the foxes are able to be trained to sit, lay and even fetch and bring some thing back. The cool part is that it is the red fox, gray fox, fennec fox and even arctic fox that have been trained to do these things, most of which aren't even genetically domesticated. Foxes are very intriguing animals and it is interesting how they can be trained like dogs but are still very independent like cats, while they are independent foxes also have a stronger attachment to they human owners than cats do.
